2nd in hardness only to diamond. The result is the most durable ceramic knife possible. We create this 5" Utility Knife with our very best 100% Zirconium Carbide-Black blade which are produced by a special "sintering" process (re-heat & pressing) which chemically alters Zirconium Oxide to produce Zirconium Carbide. The color changes from White to Black. The resulting Carbide material makes the blade several times harder.
With durable, moisture-resistant ABS handle, and a blade that is elegantly finished, these knives are the represent a new generation of fine ceramic cutlery. The razor sharp blade retains its original sharpness for years longer than steel blades, and cooking with ceramic is a pure & healthy alternative.
