2nd in hardness only to diamond. The result is the most durable ceramic knife possible. We create this 6" Chef's Knife with our very best 100% Zirconium Carbide-Black blade which are produced by a special "sintering" process (re-heat & pressing) which chemically alters Zirconium Oxide to produce Zirconium Carbide. The color changes from White to Black. The resulting Carbide material makes the blade several times harder.
With durable, moisture-resistant ABS handle, and a blade that is elegantly finished, these knives represent a new generation of fine ceramic cutlery. The razor sharp blade retains its original sharpness for years longer than steel blades, and cooking with ceramic is a pure & healthy alternative. These knives are easy to clean, only requiring a rinse and wipe with a kitchen towel. Each knife comes in its own presentation box, making a great gift!
